Thanks to you and all the team for the wonderful conference – your organisation was awesome. The information, tips and accessibility of authors, publisher and agents makes everything seem possible – and we all know the current difficulties with publication – even historical fiction. Until the next conference…
Patricia O’Reilly
I want to thank you for a wonderful conference. It was absolutely splendid. You worked so hard! And it really paid off. It all went so smoothly and I imagine everyone enjoyed it (and benefited from it) as I did.
Antoinette May — author of The Sacred Well, Pilate’s Wife and Haunted Houses of California
Just a quick note to thank you for organising such a wonderful conference. The speakers were absolutely superb and, in common with many other delegates, my only problem was that I wanted to go to everything. The effort you all put in was really impressive and much appreciated.
Celia Brayfield
This is just to say thank you for all your hard work to make the HNS Conference such a splendid event. It seems to me – and to a number of people I spoke to – that it has been raised to a whole new level, up several levels, in fact. It was hugely varied in what you could choose to go to and that was great, and the panels were inspiring as well as enjoyable. And I loved the decorative soldiers wandering around. I just happened to go up to the cloakroom when they were changing on Sunday morning and I can report that even their underwear is authentic!
Elizabeth Hawksley
Just wanted to thank you for all your hard work to ensure the success of the conference. It was a great event, lots of interesting people and helpful info.
So thanks a lot.
Lizzie Manson Bahr
I am so glad that the Conference was such a success. Congratulations to all of you. I shall very much look forward to dipping in to the online recorded presentations if I may?!
Once you have recovered from this one you’ll be able to start on the next one!
Rikki (Morgan-Tamosunas, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Westminster)
Thanks to all of you for making the panel fun and useful, and especially to Sarah (Dunant) for chairing it so ably and with such vigour. I heard many good comments about it from the audience members.
Carole Blake
I’d like to thank you and all the organisers of the conference. It was my first writers’ conference ever, so I was feeling a little apprehensive, but that was quickly dispelled by the warm and friendly atmosphere, the really terrific talks, panels and workshops and the efficient organisation of the whole event. It was a real pleasure. It seems to me that every session had great moments. Special mention to the workshop presenters (Ian and Charlie and June Fullerton and Elizabeth Hawksley) who were really informative and helpful. I know just how much time and effort goes in to organising events like this, I’ve been to academic and other conferences that have felt like great time-sucking black holes, so I really can’t overstate my appreciation.

Conference never disappoints and Phillipa Gregory’s talk was excellent. It is my third conference this year and I found it was by far the best – don’t quote me on that!
A super conference and beautifully organised and a delight to meet so many of you.
Jeffrey Manton
Would just like to tell you that I had a fantastic time at the Conference.
Anne-Marie Ugland

Just a very short note to say how much I enjoyed the conference. It was thoroughly enjoyable and extremely well organised. I was exhausted just watching you (Jenny Barden) running about with that microphone! A job very well done and I came home full of inspiration after meeting everyone and hearing the panellists speak.

Great weekend at #HNSLondon12 Many thanks to all the inspiring/witty panel speakers and to the organisers, esp @jennywilldoit
What a fabulous event. It was an honour and a pleasure to take part, and it was a delight to meet you at last. Please accept my heartfelt thanks – and pass them on, if you would, to the other organisers, especially Richard lee.
Most importantly – good luck with the book! You deserve every success. I’m sure we will run into each other again soon at some literary festival somewhere in England.
Warmest wishes, Rory
Big thanks and congrats to @jennywilldoit and all the team for a great weekend #HNSLondon12 @histnovel
It was fast, furious, serious and a lot of fun and I really think it woke everybody up. What more can one achieve at 10.00 am on a Sunday morning?
Sarah Dunant
Bravo, and I hope we meet again someday. Happy writing, agenting, publishing, and reading,
Heather Lazare

I just wanted to write and thank you for including me in the conference! I had a fabulous time, and I was very impressed with both the turnout and the star power you pulled in! It was a great few days, and it was wonderful to meet so many people. Looking forward to seeing you in Florida next year, and then hopefully in the UK again in 2014! Please do keep me on the list of editors who absolutely want to come back.
Shana Drehs
I just wanted to thank you for organising and hosting such a fabulous event. I think everyone could guess just how much hard work that was for you all, and it was a triumph.
I enjoyed myself enormously and I know that everyone I spoke to did as well.
Barbara Erskine
Just to say mainly thank you very much for giving me a platform at your brilliant conference. Many congratulations.
